This is a long but very important update about this month’s TWO competitions…

This is the most exciting month of the year for our models and our website. Not only are the previous winners from 2008 competing for MISS MYSPACE USA 2009, along with selected wild-card entrants, but the new year is off an running with the MISS JANUARY competition.

There are 15 amazing models competing for the coveted MISS MYSPACE USA 2009 crown this month, and it’s an unprecedented opportunity for all the models on our site to be recognized and exposed to the world!

To vote for your favorite contestant, you will need to go to MissMySpaceUSA.com, and review the contestants in to top right margin of our homepage.

Important note regarding WILDCARD contestants, competing in both the VOTE-OFF and the monthly competition: To clarify the rules for January, wildcard entries (those models selected to compete in the vote-off even though they did not win a particular month in 2008) have the opportunity to win the 2009 Vote-Off thus naming them MISS MYSPACE USA 2009. Should they simultaneously win MISS JANUARY 2009 and the VOTE-OFF, the 2nd place finisher in the monthly competition will be named Miss January, since the VOTE-OFF wildcard winner would have been named MISS MYSPACE USA 2009. Again, if the wildcard finishes first in both competitions, the 2nd place monthly winner for the Miss January competition will be named MISS JANUARY 2009, while the wildcard would be exclusively crowned MISS MYSPACE USA 2009.

Remember, this is not just a beauty contest, but a contest about persona, personality, promotion, and networking! And, it’s a contest where the power of all the models help promote everyone on our site!

We wish all of our contestants luck in the Vote-Off, and we look forward to an amazing 2009!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Dear MMU Contestants:

As you know with a new month, all votes were reset to zero. That means everyone starts with a clean slate for the month of December, and you’ll be competing again! The top 10 will be featured on our home page, each month! So, if you make the top 10 out of over 1,100 models, congratulations!

2009 VOTE-OFF IS LESS THEN 30 DAYS AWAY:

This is your last chance to be in the 2009 Vote-Off!!

The winners of each month in 2008 have the honor of competing in our annual VOTE-OFF, each January! The VOTE-OFF determines who will be named MISS MYSPACE USA 2009! All previous monthly winners for that respective year, and up to 4 wild-cards participate in the VOTE-OFF. The wild-cards are the models who garnered the most votes during the year, but never won an individual month. So just because you never won, don’t get discouraged…your hard work throughout the year may pay off, and you may be named a WILD CARD entry!

Cash Prizes $$$:

All of the top 10 models for November were each given a cash prize!
For more info about the cash prizes, click here.

MORE Free Tokens:

That’s right… We continue to take your advice, and look for ways to enhance our competition.

Now, in addition to 20 free votes for any new token user, ALL USERS will receive 1 free token each day!

This replaces the 20 free tokens deposited each a month… Now all registered voters get upto 31 FREE Tokens Every Month!!!

Everyone that registers as a voter will receive 20 FREE tokens when they register AND one additional free token every day added to their account! Just send them to this page to register for free… http://www.missmyspaceusa.com/register-vote.php

We’d like to thank you for participating in the most exciting and freshest modeling competition on the internet.

Thank you for competing! We wish you success in December!

Miss MySpace USA would like to thank all the contestants for staying involved this month, with the Vote-Off certainly distracting us from a ‘normal month’! We accept the fact, regretfully, that the competition was very heated for all….the models, the fans, and even the staff here at Miss MySpace!

We’d like to thank all the models who worked their butts off in January, and were on the front lines of a heated competion. The creation of this competition was not about winning, it was not created to be a cut-throat competition, but about promoting each and every model within this exclusive community…a community that has the same vision!

You’re a part of a growing network of individuals who have the same dreams, goals, and aspirations….looking for your big break or the ability to get the exposure you deserve! For the record, we only accept about 65% of the models that apply…and we’re trying to make this the home for the up-and-coming model who believes in the power of the community….the ability for one to promote all! Simply by participating (not winning), you’re being viewed by thousands and thousands who’ve taken great interest in our competition.

In the end, we thank all of you for hanging in there during the Vote-Off, especially the models at the top who were really feeling the pressure! I know that they’ve both been through a lot this month. One model is not bigger than this competition – whether they receive 30,000 votes or 30 votes! That’s the position our staff is taking — we’re in this community together, with each an every one of you….and thank you for your commitment to making this amazing competition better in 2008! We’ll do our best to do so too! Congrats to both Christina, Heather, and Adele for accumulating over 50,000 votes!

We’ve hired an outside contractor to audit the Vote-Off, and it will take 7 days to certify the results. Our engineers are working with an outside team to check for any voting anomalies, and we’ve been assured that we will be able to verify any votes (if any) that were submitted by either a computer generated program, or a proxy program that changes IP addresses. Our number one goal is to protect the integrity of the competition, and we’re also aware of other issues that we are researching, including the unfortunate MySpace deletion of Heather Elizabeth. (She has been reinstated, but we’re working on full resolution with this issue).

Our team wants to thank all of you for participating, and remember, it’s not about winning, but it’s about being associated with an amazing website that’s primary objective is to promote you… the model. One final note — we would like all of you to check your direct link to your MySpace site that’s showing up in your MMU profile. If you want people to contact you through your MySpace site (from our site), please go into your Control Panel and make sure the direct link is correct. That’s the only way people can contact you!

Thank you again for a great month, and we look forward to putting the heat of the vote-off behind us, and moving forward with a tremendous 2008!

Sincerely,
MMU Admin

PS: With the Super Bowl in one week, we will be changing the main banner at the top of our home page to have our models showing off their football spirit. Send us your sexy, classy photos that are football related and you might be selected to be in the banner!

We’d like to thank you for your emails regarding clarifying the position on wildcards. As you know, we’re a new competition that has exploded onto the modeling world! And, with our freshness, comes the fact that we’re faced with making decisions each day that affect the competition. And one of these decisions was allowing ‘wild-cards’ compete for the title MISS MYSPACE USA! Allowing the models that we thought earned the right, based on total votes, to participate in this years Vote-Off.

For the record, the four wildcards in this years first ever vote-off received the most amount of total votes during the months leading up to January, yet never won a respective monthly title. The four wildcard candidates are Soli, Christina Danielle, Jayda Nicole, and Heather Elizabeth. If a wildcard wins the VOTE-OFF, she will be named MISS MYSPACE USA 2008, and carry the crown the entire year. If the wildcard simultaneously finishes first in the Currently Monthly Rankings too (you will see the wildcards also listed in the Current Monthly Standings), then the winner of Miss MySpace January will go to the 1st runner up listed in current monthly rankings. To be clear, if one of the wildcards wins both the Vote-Off and the monthly competition for January, Miss MySpace January will be given to the 1st runner up! I hope that makes sense and we appreciate the inquiries from all of you. Thanks again for your support and dedication to our project, to bring exposure and promotion to all of the models on our site!

Dear Vote-Off Fans!

Due to our system, previous monthly winners do not show up within the CURRENT MONTHLY RANKINGS on the homepage, as these contestants are inelgible to win Miss MySpace for January (because they already won for a month). The VOTE-OFF system is tracking the contest for MISS MYSPACE 2008.

Previous monthly winners are inelegible to win again, and that’s why they do not show up in the Current Monthly Standings… they only show up in the VOTE-OFF standings!

Also note that the 4 Wildcard entries have the opportunity to win the 2008 Vote-Off as well as becoming Miss January 2008.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Congratulations to Miss December, Raven Riley! For those of you who voted for Raven (nearly 17,000 votes), hop right back on the bandwagon for January, as she’s now competing in the first annual VOTE-OFF to crown Miss MySpace USA 2008! That’s right, all previous winners, along with 4 wild-card entries are now competing in the VOTE-OFF!

Thank you to all of her fans, and remember to come back each day if you’d like her to win the crown Miss MySpace USA 2008! You can check the rankings on the homepage! Best of luck to Miss December, Raven Riley!

The month of January will crown the first ever Miss MySpace USA! We’ll be naming Miss MySpace 2008 at the end of the month! To vote for your favorite contestant, you will need to go to the homepage of the website, and review the contestants in the right margins! All previous monthly winners from 2007 are in the VOTE-OFF, along with 4 wild card models (the models who accumulated the most votes in 2007, yet did not win) — the models that remained in the competition even though they finished just short! They earned the right to qualify for the vote-off!

Remember, this is not just a beauty contest, but a contest about persona, personality, promotion, and networking! And, it’s a contest where the power of all the models help promote everyone on our site! We wish all of our contestants luck in the Vote-Off, and we look forward to an amazing 2008!!

We wanted to take a second to congratulate all the entries into this years Miss MySpace USA’s 2008 Vote Off! In what has been an amazing first 9 months of our website, we hope that all the contestants and fans in this years Vote-Off will enjoy this annual event! It’s a chance for you to support your favorite model, and most importantly, to show off 13 amazing contestants who have already demonstrated an amazing committment to promoting themselves!

Miss MySpace USA is not a traditional beauty pageant, but rather an event that has more to do with popularity and committment to promoting! Because the 13 models in the competion will be promoting themeselves extensively, it also will bring exposure and visibility to all the contestants! That’s the unique power of our website — that by promoting one you’re promoting all the models in a round about way!

Beginning around 3am EST, on the 1st of January, the Vote-Off will commence. As mentioned, we’ve added 4 wildcards to the vote off, to bring us to 13 contestants participating! Good luck to all the models….January will be the most exciting month ever….when we crown Miss MySpace USA 2008!

Because there is a lag between the actual resetting of the monthly votes, and the commencement of the Vote-Off, the discrepancy between the votes that occurr between this 2 hour lag will be adjusted (Meaning, our server is on Global Mountain Time, and the resetting of votes is on Eastern Time) — our staff is monitoring this, and we will have all votes adjusted accordingly…no vote will go uncounted!

The other major event for January isn’t just the VOTE-OFF…it’s the fact that January starts the march towards Miss MySpace 2009! The competition continues into the new year, so get ready for the most exciting year ever! Our site continues to grow in leaps and bounds, and simply by being listed on our site, you’ll receive the exposure you’re looking for! And, coinciding with our major Vote-Off, everyone else will be competing for the title Miss MySpace USA for January! We wish you all great luck — and remember, it’s not about winning, it’s about being promoted on one of the freshest sites within the MySpace Community! Happy New Year!
